Physical Therapy helps children who experience difficulty with daily activities involving movement. It addresses issues like tripping due to poor balance, pain due to weakness in certain muscles, or even problems related to a specific diagnosis such as cerebral palsy or Down's Syndrome.

Physical Therapists can help parents improve a child's ability to balance, move, and play. This impacts their ability to participate in activities important to the family and to make everyday life easier to the child. Speech-Language Pathologists and/or Occupational Therapists support the child and caregiver through picky eating and aversions, delays in solid/liquid progression, or mealtimes that are too long or short. We also assist with other medical concerns such as slow weight gain, reflux, aspiration, and tube feedings.

We work on improving sensory, motor, relational, and emotional aspects surrounding food and educate parents to appropriately respond to the child’s behaviors during mealtimes as these factors all contribute to positive growth at mealtimes.

ABA (Applied Behavior Analysis) is an evidence-based therapy based on the science of behavior, and focuses on skill acquisition and teaching socially-significant behaviors, including functional communication, daily living skills, and social skills, while minimizing and replacing the use of challenging behaviors. The methods utilized are data-driven and based on research, with the overall goal of teaching and reinforcing behaviors that lead to an improved quality of life. ABA is not a "one-size-fits-all" model, and each program is tailored to the needs of the individual and their families.
