About Kelly Hawkins, MS, CCC-SLP
Kelly graduated from Oklahoma State University with a Master of Science in Communication Sciences and Disorders in May of 2004. She is also currently finishing up my Master of Healthcare Administration with a projected graduation date of December 2017. She have been a practicing SLP for more than 13 years and the first 10 years of her career was spent working in Pediatrics. Kelly took a brief hiatus from pediatrics for 2 years, but has since returned. She is an ASHA-certified therapist as well as a Beckman-certified therapist. She has completed courses through Talk Tools, Michelle Garcia Winner, and PECS. Kelly was drawn to Therapitas because of its mission. She became an SLP because of her desire, or need, to work with children with disabilities, but had been feeling largely unfulfilled by the work she was doing in the adult population. She needed to get back to working with children because there is such a feeling of hoping when working with them. However, she knew that her days as a production therapist were coming to an end and that she wanted more. Kelly has been with Therapitas since September of 2016.
